INTRODUCTION BY THE CHAIRPERSON  (April 2009)

When we all took on the task of forming a new Pre-school, none of us knew quite what it would take to be successful, but after six months of hard work and dedication from the ten strong committee and the amazing support and commitment from our loyal staff members we have achieved a phenomenal amount to enable us to proudly open our doors on Tuesday 21st April 2009 as 'Little Sunshines Pre-school'.

 Little Sunshines has been fully inspected and registered by Ofsted, we are also a registered Charity and we have been successful in securing nearly £10k of start up funding to help us on our way. A lot of hard work too has gone into preparing the Pre-school for it's big opening, it has been freshly decorated throughout, 'Simply Kitchens' have so kindly donated and fitted a brand new kitchen to the Pre-school and lots of new toys, equipment and resources have been purchased to fill the new Pre-school.

We are tremendously fortunate to have retained the four members of staff from the old pre-school, who have been running the interim sessions and have done fantastic work and kept continuity for the children whilst the new Pre-school was being established.

With the expert leadership and management of Rebecca Howard and Hayley Loft, and the support and experience of Debra Dewing and Wendy Lockyer, the Pre-school looks set to achieve its aims and objectives from day one. We would like to thank everyone for their support and patience throughout the last six months and we sincerely hope you will be as excited and overwhelmed as we are by all that has been achieved for the benefit of all our children now and for the future.
